Hi folks so my mk2 is up for sale and had someone come have a look yesterday he spent 3 hours looking at my mk2 and said he will need to think about it bare in mind he said he really wants this car as he's been looking for 1 for a while so I put other people off from viewing antill he did. Anyway he said there's rust under the car and will cost 2k to sort out. I know there's rust and I know it's minor as I've been underneath myself no rot and nothing bad it's also just passed a MOT with no advisories. Anyway he didn't get In touch till 1030 on that evening and said he didn't want it due to the rust. I'll post pics so you can all see there's nothing to worry about under there. So he totally wasted my time anyone ever come across him in his 50s bald head well spoken. I think he could be a trader trying to get a bargain I'm not sure.

He just sounds like a guy who really wants a mk2 but cant afford the 5k you want for it. Also lolling at the thought of a bit of rust (which passed an MOT) costing 2k to fix. He just needed excuses not to buy it mate.

But as another point. Never put off other viewers until you have a deposit in your hand. The next person might have brought 5k in cash with them and bought it there and then. but you turned them away.

Won't be doing it again for anybody else. He even brought his own overalls to look under the car and a head lamp haha swear he just wanted a day out. Said he's big in the Vw scene which I was I posted here see if anyone else has had this chump turn up.
