I'd use a Silicon spray (non reactive to rubber) and will last a lot longer than WD40.

WD40 is my companion for most things that are not human!

And your weapon of choice for the human body is?

WD40 is great for most things but it does dry out over time.  Krytox (my autocorrect insists on changing this to Krypton ),  keeps rubber supple for much longer.  My (still) silent door seals are proof of this.

Call me old fashioned, Vaseline and WD40 do me just fine. Not saying anymore.😘

Don't need to

Best NOT to substitute Vaseline for Krytox on certain things.  Best avoiding Vaseline on your rubber. .. (automotive)

So that's where I went wrong using Vaseline on latex. Damn.

What's the best stuff to use to lubricate the rubber etc on the wing mirrors. My passenger mirror has started taking slightly longer than the drivers one and it's also slightly noisier too.

My passenger mirror has always taken slightly longer to fold. Same as my wife's Audi.  I just thought it was a trait of the 2 mechanisms.

WD40 is good but dries out really quickly. I used a silicone spray lubricant.

What worries me though is the mirrors folding out when the car is thick with ice.
