Hi all. Got my first GTi yesterday to replace my Celica Vvti I'd got bored of as a daily.
I run a near mint 1990 import MX5 but don't like it being out the garage in winter or poor weather.
Picked up 2003 2.0 GTi 3 door in Oceanic Green with only 2 owners and a huge service history and folder of receipts. Need a couple of scuffs painted,gearknob gaiter,and new badges for the tailgate,but otherwise I can't fault it.
Very impressed with how well it drives,and the engine feels so refined compared to the Celica engine (I'm a Jap car man,but the Golf has seriously impressed me so far!)
