Spotted Exeter

So I took the girlfriend for some cake and coffee at John Lewis this morning took my new GTI for a spin. We parked my car in a multi story car park on a level pretty much by itself in a big space.

When we came back a few cars were parked and next to mine was another brand new 15 plate GTI in carbon grey. I would have got a picture but there were a few people about and a couple of guys looking at the cars.

I wonder if it is anyone on here!!!

Ahh, finally it's not all white ones around locally!!! Whew!
I keep seeing a red 63 plate five door lately that's always very shiny.

Exonian there's one less Pure White in Exeter now!! I left my job and so had to give the car back. A very sad day. I could've taken over the contract hire but I'm going to be doing 25k miles a year and the GTI was on 8k!!

I'm now driving around in a Kia ProC'eed. It's a 1.6 diesel (necessary for the mileage) and I've got it in the SE Tech spec so leather seats, park assist, satnav, Bluetooth, rear camera, panoramic sunroof etc. It drives really well. Understandably the weaknesses are the handling (it's not got an e-diff for cornering and can be a bit wallowy) and it's very unforgiving if you're in too high a gear - I regularly have to drop it one or two gears for hills.

If I could've I would've gone for a GTD but on the whole it's not the Seat Ibiza or Ford Fiesta I was thinking I'd end up when I went car shopping.

Oh no!  :cry: Gutted your GTI has gone.
(mine nearly went last week incidentally but that's a whole new thread for another day)

They're handsome looking cars though the C'eed. If I were you I'd put a tuning box on it and liven the thing up a bit plus it'd be a lot more flexible.

Only got it on a 2 year contract hire. Don't know if they'd like me playing with it too much.  :whistle:
