Revo flash problems
« on: 21 May 2015, 08:28 »
I popped along to have a chat with my revo dealer yesterday and he said they are having issues flashing new cars.

Apparently VW have changed the ECU codes and they can't get in on certain cars. He had a 3 week old R in on Saturday and couldn't do it.

Interesting development!

I think this happened on the GTI as well given they were working on code, personally I would alway speak to HQ for the definitive word

It's true, only affects the most recent builds. Something has changed in the ECUs but it won't be long before Revo work around it.. i just hope it doesn't mean I have to start pulling ECUs out to map them again!

As said above within the last couple of weeks we appear to be having issues with the unlock procedure on the new 2015 models. The ECU's identification is the same as 2013/2014 models which we have been flashing pretty much from day one. As you can imagine it was abit of a surprise for us but we are currently working on a fix for this. Obviously the manufacturers don't like people changing the software and they are forever trying to find ways of stopping it from happening, likewise we for years have been finding ways around it, hopefully this time wont be any different.
