Haha, yeah I remember that ad.  Someone on the forum should make a sequel to it in honour of all the rattle threads there's been over the years  :laugh:

Jimi...thank you, you're a star, my rattle is coming from the driver's knee airbag, identified today whilst on a drive. I have wedged some carpet underlay under there and for the moment the rattle is no more. Depends how big a job it is for the dealer to fix, if it means taking the dash out I'm tempted to stick with the underlay!

Mine ended up being a vent that was covered by the knee airbag. It was secured and problem solved. An easy fix in the end for the dealer  (I just wasn't game to pull out the knee airbag myself as I don't know what I'm doing and didn't want to set it off)
