how to get factory 0-60

I have a 05 dsg gti. the 0-60 for this is 6.9 secs.

Main question is will I be able to achieve the 0-60 in automatic sport mode with TC off? As all I have been able to achieve is 7.35 secs as a best. Or do I need to do it with flappy paddles?

Decent tyres with good tread set at the correct pressure
Ensure all suspension bushes / engine mounts are in good condition
Less than half a tank of fuel
Ditch weight like passengers and your spare wheel

Then point the car downhill with a following wind
