if youve done the thread on one of the factory threaded items (be it a threaded plate or press nut)
then you have 2 options....
drill it (with correct size drill for item to be mentioned)
fit a HELICOIL of the same thread to that whats gone
then dolt up as normal.
or drill it the next size up ie: m3, m4, m5,m6,m8 and so on
dril the hole as per required by relevant tap (tool to make new thread)
then tap it (winding in clockwise, but backing off and reverse turning to remove cut thread waste, then continues and repeat until done)
then bolt it....
or for bodging, locite/alraldite simialr, mix, bang in the hole the wind nut in so it bites and get it going, dont over wind just till it nips.
then when solotuion cured nut should be tight
the last mentions one isnt one i would do if it were my car and i was keeping it...
