I'm selling my golf as I never use it and it's just sat in the garage. I fitted the tinted genuine R led rear lights and I'm wondering do they make much of a difference when selling a mk6?

I think what I'm asking is would I get pretty much the same price regardless if the original or led lights are fitted?

The lights are in perfect condition so could easily sell them so.........

Any advice guys

take them out? if anyone comes to look at it (private sale) try flog them with the package?      if going to a dealer. dealer just going to look at age.. probably wont even realize it has the different lights in.   see how much u could get? personally i couldn't be assed to take them out.

When I come to sell my car, I'm going to take them out and put the standard ones back in. Depending how negotiations go, I can offer them as part of the deal to help the sale. If I don't mention them and the sale goes well, I'll have a set of lights that I can sell for around £250.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

When I went to take my LEDs off and put the original lights back on an error light came on, so bear in mind they may need coding again!

Take them out and sell private the dealer will never notice.
Audi S1 gone, awaiting 1.5tsi r-line, pan roof, led lights front and rear, active dash, 18" jurva alloys and a dealer fitted Oettinger roof spoiler in tornado red.

Personally, if selling to a dealer I'd remove them as they'll not even realise they're any different. If selling privately, use them to negotiate.

Decided to remove the lights. Will I need to re code my car to accept the original lights?

Mine had to be recoded, not sure if it needs doing to all cars.
