Thanks for that link. Funny thing is that if you go through the main VW servicing website it states that its £450 for belt and pump. I will see if they will go for that, otherwise I will just try to book it direct and see. I have a place I use in Hemel for my tyres and MOT and they have said they will do it for a smidge under £450, but the parts are prob not OEM (though he says they are from the same manufacturer). Will see what they say. Realised I need to get brake fluid done too so going to see if they will offer some discount for just rolling it all into one.

Yes, I was surprised too - seems that the price on this has fallen - I remember around 4 years ago on my old Audi A4 at an indy garage it was around £500

Whilst it is still £300 I'm happier with that price!

For those that have had theirs done - did you bother with the water pump or not?

always do the water pump at the same time as the belt  and your a4 would have cost more due to the time involved as its a lot more work than a golfs
