golf gt tdi 2004 - updated EGR and emissions workshop
« on: 16 February 2015, 10:11 »
hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

The main issue I am having is with the exhaust emissions workshop light coming on. I had it on for a while and we took out the EGR and Manifold and cleaned this. When put back in the symbol had disappeared but returned after a day. The msg from the scan showed EGR flow issue and spark plugs - some not working

Are there any other reasons why this is symbol still appearing? Car drives perfectly
Is it possible to clear this code?
what's the recommended scanner for this car?

Thanks for your help Chris 16/2/15

The best way to solve it is get it scanned with Vag-Com.

hi mate, thanks for the reply the codes i have are:

16785 exhaust gas recirculation insufficient detected
17057, 17056, 17058 - cylinder 2, 3, 4 glow plug circuit - permanent

the car starts fine - any ideas why the symbol of Emissions is still appearing?
Will the car still pass MOT?
Can this be cleared on a scanner?

Error could be cleared but if it's a genuine problem then it will return.
