Hiya guys, looking for some advice...
My Mk4 front drivers door lock has started to play up, symptoms are:
- won't unlock from the key fob but all other doors will
- sometimes have to press the lock & unlock on the fob several times to get it to unlock
- occasionally it won't lock when you drive off (anti hijack) whereas the other doors will
- when the drivers door refuses to unlock, even using the unlock button from inside the car or the interior open lever will not work.
- occasionally if the car is unlocked & drivers door has been opened, when shut it then locks itself again. I know it's suposed to do that but not if the drivers door has been opened.
Is this the CCM module that's playing up? From a quick search there is a suggestion that it can be repaired using solder, how successful is this or would it be better to just buy a new one?
Anyone got a how to guide to repair?
