Hi all
I have a problem with my mk4 golf gti 1.8T gearbox
the issues are as follows
Reverse:- will select fine with engine off but crunches when selected if engine is running
first:- will select fine with engine off but struggles to select with engine running
second:- selects fine with engine off but sometimes struggles when running
third,fourth and fifth:- fine with engine off and running
clutch biting point is approx 2" from the floor
previous owner claims to have converted to SMF but no receipt to prove.
Any idea's ??
BTW it is the older version of the linkages which i have tried to adjust, there is play on the selector but all select perfect if done manually at gearbox end
