Exhaust Help Please.
« on: 21 December 2014, 18:27 »
Evening

Quick question:

I have a 2.0 GT FSI and the exhaust is on the way out, I've been offered one from the GTI but I'm not sure if it'll fit without too much work?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers,

Jack.

I don't think the GTI exhaust will fit, due to the differences in the downpipes and shape of the exhaust itself. Perhaps search for a used Milltek or similar stainless steel one, although they are a lot more in cash, you shouldn't have to worry about corrosion ever again.

Cheers for the reply.

Had a bit of a look around and think it may fit from after the cat as piping from there is all the same size?
it's only the rear section that needs changing and at the price I can get the rear section for it's worth a shot!

Will be fitting in the new year so will update and probably do a write up if I rember!

Please do write up your findings, would be good to confirm/deny for certain. Try and get a look at your own back box before as that may be the only snag if they're different shape.
