Im only asking as obviously they havent got the latch to tilt forward but it does slide forward and then just turn the thingy to make the back go forward if that makes any sense  and no its not my car im quite happy with my 3 door leather recaros just need to sort the wiring loom for the heated seats, especially in this weather brrrrr lol

I can't see it failing. Why would it matter how your passengers get into their seats?
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.

These are the tests they do on the seats.

- The driver's and the front passenger's seats must be secure.
- The driver's seat fore and aft adjustment mechanism must function as intended.
- All seat backs must be securable in the upright position.

I would say you are fine. If not just remove the rear seats and belts for the MOT?

Well they'll want to check rear seat belts and may find it difficult to access them so as above your probably best removing rear seats to eliminate that possibility.
