Hello everyone!

Joined the forum trying to get some feedback overseas for a serious issue I'm having with my MK7.

I bought a brand new GTI DSG with Discover Pro, ACC & DLA about 15 days ago. Since then, I was successful making some codings, like turning Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition on, and few other minor changes, with VCDS 12.12.0.

For some reason I can't explain (can't remember any modification I've done that could make this happen), some of the Vehicle BAP Functions in the 5F-Information Electr. module (infotainment/Discover Pro) are "not activated", and it seems I just can't activate them through VCDS - even my car having the correspondent hardware.

Here what is going on:

1 - The hardware seems work normally - ACC, Front Assist, DLA, ESC, Start & Stop, everything is working;
2 - But when I try to access/personalize some options through the Car menu in the Discover Pro, I keep getting the message "Function is currently not available" (pictures attached)
3 - This is happening with these menus/options, as far as I know:
Start&Stop reasons
ESC
Auto Hold
Front Assist
City Emergency break
Lane Assist
All of them show the above message when I try to access/mod them in the infotainment;

4 - If I enter the 5F-Information Electr. module through VCDS, and enter in Adaptation - 10, and then try to "activate" some Vehicle BAP Functions (including the functions above), it simply doesn't work. The VCDS keeps saying me that the "Controller accepted the request", but the "stored value" field still shows "not activated" (pictures attached).
This is happening with the following functions:
(49) Vehicle function list BAP-LDW_HCA_0x19
(51) Vehicle function list BAP-SWA_0x1A
(53) Vehicle function list BAP-AWV_0x1B
(69) Vehicle function list BAP-Brake_0x26
(71) Vehicle function list BAP-Start_Stop_reasons_0x27

5-There are NO fault codes in the 5F module or in any of the car modules at all. The auto-scan is clean.

Does anyone have any clue of what is going on? Could the infotainment be "locked" or "blocked" in any way? I'm completly out of ideas. Don't know what to do anymore.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Andrei

Have a look in the codinglog.txt in the debug folder, undo all the things you have done and see if it works again.

If yes re-code the functions you want with the current VCDS beta (12.12.0 is really old and from before Ross-Tech got their hands on a mk7...).

Have you got the ignition on??
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Not having ignition on will normally ask you to turn ignition on to access certain functions - at least on the discover media. Would guess it's the same on D Pro.

Yep, ignition on, doors unlocked; after the changes I turn ignition off and wait a few minutes listening to the "blips" the car does, to see if the codification had effect.

itavaltalainen, I tried what you suggested: I've readen the log, tried undo whatever I'd done that could possibly mess my infotainment, but nothing changed: I still can't "activate" the functions above in the Disc. Pro, albeit they´re still working through other instruments, like the MF steer. wheel.

Awkwardly, if I try to activate, for example, start&stop in the 5F module, VCDS will still show me as "not activated"; but, in fact, when I turn the ignition on again, the function is back there in the infotainment. If I do that with the Lane Assist or the Brake funtion, f. e., the same happens, but then the start&stop is gone from the infotainment. It´s like I'm not allowed to activate all these infotainment missing functions at once, but only one of them - and, nevertheless, VCDS will still show it as "not activated".

I'm gonna try with another dongle and another software, maybe the problem is not the infotainment; but if anyone has any other idea, I would appreciate.

Cheers,
Andrei

Post autoscan and the debuglog.txt here

Why would you have to try a different dongle? Just get latest beta software from ross-tech (unless you got a clone then get a genuine and ross-tech will also be happy to help you).
