1.8T Bam into 1.4 mk4 shell.
« on: 15 November 2014, 17:39 »
Does any body have any tips on converting a 1.4 mk4 to 1.8t BAM engine? Bought as a project car and have had the opportunity to get the engine, box loom etc from an S3. Has anybody on here done this conversion before? My intention is to get a strong, easily tuneable power plant that I can enjoy building without too much hassle.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance

Would be aiming for around 350 - 400 eventually. Not sure whether to make it awd or just front. How easy is it to blank the gear box to allow this?

Just dont run the prop.

What throttle is your car?  Cable or electric?

Is it as simple as that?
Currently its cable, I think.

Go for a AGU then.  Its a LOT more work swapping between the two pedal types and theres a shed load of wiring differences aswell.
