New VW Owner
« on: 12 August 2014, 12:40 »
Hi,

I have been after a GTI for a couple of weeks, and came across this beauty for only £400! The previous owner accepted our offer of £350, so am now a happy owner of my first VW.
It has 107k on the clock which I think is quite good.
A couple of issues that came with the car; such as the drivers electric window is playing up, when in reverse the car makes a noise going backwards, so maybe a gearbox issue? Rest of the gearbox is fine though...
The exhaust sounds lovely, it drives well and gets up to speed pretty quickly.

Later on my plan for the car is to take it to shows. It's never going to be in mint condition, but hoping to do some subtle mods of some kind whilst still keeping it pretty much original. The car came with the angel eye headlights, different rear lights (BMW style I think there called) and also a sub and amp in the boot  which isn't working yet, and neither is the radio!

Hope you can see the photos below, her name is P.O.B
