my Bridgestone Potenza are gone after just 9500 miles.

You lucky bugger! Mine are down to 4mm with 10500 miles on. I'll probably be replacing them in November.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the good years pal! The S001's are awful if not warmed up in hot weather. Only then they perform ok. Best tyre i have come accross has been the michelin ps3's. The contisport 5s, everyone says tyre wear is poor. So its back to ps3's as know what im getting, or go for a full set of good years. All interesting comments here guys. Thanks

I've had them in the past and love them and no-one has anything bad to say about them. So while it would be nice to try a different brand the term "don't fix it if it's not broken" comes to mind. :)

You can't go wrong with the Goodyears mate.

I got a pair of eagle F1 asymmetric fitted last week and they are great. Amazing grip compared to the standard junk from Bridgestone. Managed full throttle in second in the rain without any ESC kicking in and first holds a peach in the dry. I would happily replace these at 10k than keep bridgestones for 15k again.....also 15k in 6 months !!!!! My wife us gonna strangle me with my fuel bill :P

Contisport 5p is a great tyre imo, but it's true that tyre wear isn't the best.  Have them on them on my mk6 all year round, never miss a beat, excellent in wet, dry and even in snow.  Got 13,000 miles out of my first set of fronts (19") and think you'd be lucky to get much more than that.  I rate them highly so replaced with same but GY EAS F1s would be my second choice.
