GTI US Production Halted

Hi,

I've read about a "front stabilizer link fastener" issue causing a recall in the US & also halting production of new cars.  :sick:

Anybody know if European (well UK, stuff the contintent! Lol :laugh:) models will be affected, or not?  :undecided:

Is this supposed to be US MK7 GTIs? I'm pretty sure that US GTIs were to be coming from Wolfsburg (have they even gotten the MK7 GTI yet?), with the other "lesser" MK7s to be built in Mexico for the US market. If the recall is for MK7 GTIs for the US market then it's likely that other market GTIs would be affected if the failing component/s aren't related to equipment specifically on US spec GTIs only.

Yeap nothing to do with us. They also aren't getting the gen 3 EA888 Engine in all its modern format

Not seen any mk7 GTI's out and about in Florida yet but they're being advertised loads on TV.
