Please tell me those auto dimming rear view mirrors aren't as crap as i think??

My 53 plate wagon has one fitted and theres no complaints here. Does it's job perfectly.

i thought as much. The best part was it came with a good length of loom with all the plugs all in good condition, but as soon as I saw the colour of it I thought something was up.

I'll get onto him and say you can clearly see this is f**ked without even installing it into the car. It's all very well saying can't test it, but that's like selling a TV with a smashed screen and no plug saying can't test it...

hisay be a silly Q...but what are the benefits to these and what do they actually do.

Have seen alot for sale, but never really knew the difference.

instead of you having to flick the little tab at the bottom of the mirror to tilt it upwards when theres some chav behind you with his full beams and HIDs blinding you, there is a little sensor, and this sensor automatically dims the mirror so that the lights behind you dont blind you

The guy I bought it from said it's always been brown like that and claimed it worked like that. When I held it up next to mine in the car it didn't really look that brown... I'll wire it up and see.
