Radio help please!

Hi I am new here and just want a bit of help with my radio! If this is in the wrong section feel free to move it!

I have a golf 1999 S mk4 I think!

The radio is the original I think and when I bought the car not long ago the radio didnt work (no power)

I have checked the correct fuse in the fuse box and it isnt blown so not sure what else it could be!

And does anyone else have really scratched tatty covers around the radio etc?

Sorry but I can't help with the radio.

There do seem to be two lots of Mk4 owners though. Us lot with the scratched and tatty trim. And the modders who bought some carbon fibre look alike vinyl and covered it all up. Doesn't seem to be a lot in between who have either good condition trim or have properly sanded it back and varnished or painted it properly.

Ahh no probs! I have seen those carbon fibre vinyls on ebay be better if I could find some plain black ones!
