Clutch kit help
« on: 13 April 2014, 14:49 »
Long story short, need a new clutch in my golf. Got the old one out and it's been upgraded to a g60 flywheel. So I'm lookin for the same kit or something along those lines.

Golf mk4 Gti 1.8t X reg

Need flywheel and clutch, where's the best reasonable place to buy these. I did order one off eBay but the guy has never contacted me so I have opened a claim against him on paypal. Technic lunch I think he was called.

Help, thanks.

Hello mate i have just recently fitted my clutch kit also a g60/vr6 set up i got  :whistle:mine online from eurocarparts and if you already have the g60 flywheel fitted then you just need the clutch kit and you require a mk3 vr6 one,you bought yours from techniclutch suprise suprise my car came with a clutch from them and  slipping badly when i bought the car and was virtually knackered so i replaced it they are known for selling 2nd hand kits and painting the covers hope you sort it mate

I got the sachs kit as they are oem fitment and well known brand i paid £90 odd plus delivery afaik they are offering 15% off their clutch kits at the minute too, http://www.eurocarparts.com/clutch-kit
also worth fitting this set up as its an uprated clutch set up so can handle more power if you have yours mapped  :afro: also nice and light too when using

There is another option.
I sell clutch conversion kit's (new solid flywheel and clutch kit) by National Auto which come with a 24 month no quibble warranty (you don't get that with a G60/VR6 set up) and 228mm (AGU, ARM & ARZ engines) kit is £175 delivered

They are direct replacement but it is the same clutch as a diesel they are rated for higher torque. (Max is 190-200 lb ft)
