Hi everyone, been a while since I've been here but I've gone back to the GTi's. Unfortunately a MKIV 2.slow though. I've only owned it a few months now but recently I've noticed a couple of noises. I get a loud whistling noise when the car decelerates using the gears, this lasts until about 2000rpm and then there is a noise that sounds like a plastic flap slamming shut. It sounds to me as if the noises are both coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. At first I originally thought it was the air box but I can't see anything wrong with it.
Has anyone experienced these symptoms or anyone know how to resolve them? Thanks in advance!!
