Hello everyone I'm a new member
I joined last night but didn't give any details due to Ouzo and lemonade. Now I'll bore you all. I bought my Golf in 1992,she's called Jenny due to her number plate JNE! Yeah I know. 2 previous owners, 16.000 miles on the clock. In 1995 at 44.000 miles I had the conversion (have all the docs).
She drank VW Syntax (I think that's what it was called) for 10.000 miles, I strictly followed the running-in instructions which were a nightmare. Since then she's had Mobil 1 every 5.000 miles.
She has a K+N filter, Milltek manifold, Jetex exhaust,
Standard rear brakes, Tarox drilled and grooved front discs with Mintex fast road pads.
Eibach springs with adjustable Koni shocks.
Headlight wiring loom with 100w spots and 100/80 headlights, originals were poor, these are brilliant.
Offside quarter panel has been renewed, as has hatch, panel underneath it, both sills and front outer wings.
On the back there is just(on the left) GTI Eng decal, on the right is just the badge GOLF it's a sexier rear end than Kylie's.
A well worn Italvolanti steering wheel and a full Recaro interior.
Wheels are OZ Polaris 5 spoke.
I'll ask my son to post photos when I get my wife to wash the car, I don't know how to do it! I'm old.
It looks nothing like some of your cars which are stunning, mine looks quite standard but in really good nick. She was featured in the GOLF magazine back in October 1996.
And that's it. Sorry if I've gone on a bit.
Best wishes

PS She's now done 105.000 miles since the conversion and still goes like a rocket

Look forward to seeing the photos!
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
