clean manifold

What is the best way to polish the intake manifold
2004 auq, 550cc injectors, gt3071r, adjustable fpr, ebc, fmic, sachs stage 2, walbro 255, 3" turbo back, 3" custom intake, n75 n249 sai delete.

hard work!!! get a machine sander on it, then work your way down to finer paper, then wet and dry then finally metal polish...

took me 2 days!!!!

I find it still looks dull compared to machine polishing with mop and polishing bar. I didn't have a DA to do my fuel rail and so I just finished it by hand using metal polish and it doesn't have the same finish as the rest of my engine.



It's not so obvious from a distance but does annoy me when I see it

I had my orginal one chrome plated but they didnt smooth it first and it annoyed me badly. So i sourced another one which i had had machine polished which im picking up saturday ive been advised to have it laccered before i fit it so im looking into that atm.
