Does the MK7 have drilled mounting points for a roof (a la BMW) or do you have to have feet sitting on the paint? What rack systems have you set up so far? I need a year round roof rack for bicycles.
Genuine VW roof rack and cycle carrier - it sits on the roof with the feet on the paint but they are rubbery where they touch. Underneath on the front doors, there are two locating pins in the door frame and for the rear (on the 3 door) you slide the bracket into a position between the window rubber and the body (marked by two arrows on the glass itself)
