« on: 18 March 2014, 18:45 »
Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea on cost here, i have got a faulty water pump on my mk4 1.6 petrol golf, but also i need to replacing the current timing belt as it is overdue. so please could anyone who has had similar or know a rough idea of how much its going to cost to replace the thermostat, water pump and the timing belt. it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

It depends if you use a Main Dealer, Specialist or back street garage, I'd budget £300-350.

Make sure you check if your engine mount bolts are the streched kind, if they are get them changed too :)
