Hi everyone my mate has just bought his missus a 2010 polo gti with dsg is there anything he should be worried about or known problems with them?he will be joining the forum soon it's black with monzas tartan interior,really nice looking car

My advise is join a polo forum. I know they are similar but you will get a lot more help there.

I'm pretty sure that the early 1.4tsi engines had all sorts of fairly major problems.

Yeah they tended to eat their piston rings

As for eating piston rings most vag petrol engines had that problem from 2000 to 2010.
