Newbie from Dubai
« on: 25 September 2005, 15:01 »
Hi Peeps,

Thought I would register with you guys.  I am living in Dubai at present.  Having been in South Africa for a few years.
I have always been a Vauxhall nut, owning a custom Calibra pushing out a hefty and reliably 220Kws at the wheels.  I even took the car from the UK to SA where it still is.  I am now in Dubai and have just purchased a 2000 Golf V5.  I know nothing about them but I am pleased with what I have seen.
I pick the car up on Thursday.  It is Black with smoked windows.  Totally standard.  Can anyone tell me more about the car and what can be done for a few more horses!!!!!!!  Anyway good to be here, I was an avid fan of the Opel / Vauxhall sites and hope this one is just as good.
Cheers

Sorry about the past, but I have had some great fun racing them.  The new car (V5) I dont think looks as good as the Calibra, but I am sure it will be far more relaible and better built.
I am wanting to do so much to this car.  I just dont know were to begin.  That is why am here.  I am looking forward to lowering her, changing the veggies under the hood or at least adding to the grocery list!!!!!!
Bigger wheels blah blah blah.

Welcome to the forum. Dont know about outfits in Dubai but I guess your first stop is a trip to a re-map place to get the ECU done. I think the V5 pushes out 170bhp as standard anyway so should be looking at 200+ straight away with re-map.
......now officially dubless.
