You
20:57

We have better deals for customer retention,so no worries, you wont be staying without services
*NAME REMOVED*
20:58

Well right now, I am looking to spend no more than £30 per month on a fixed term contract, and i want that to include the line rental. Unlimited BB and a half decent TV package, not fussed about having the movie channels, do you have anything around that?
You
21:00

Just give me a min

You
21:00

YOu will be paying £43 a month for unlimited broadband, entertainment extra & weekends pack for line rental.

Really not sure what the issue is here?? He's offered you a pretty good package, there will be pre-written blocks of text that he will click to help speed up the chat process which is why parts of it sound generic.

Sky is part of a huge, multinational company...I doubt any customers feel 'valued' as such.

I currently pay £44.60 for Sky TV (no extras), Unlimited Broadband, Sky Talk and line rental. I wanted Fibre as it's now available in my area, seen Talk Talk do a deal for all this at £46. Sky wanted an extra £20 a month plus £50 activation. I said about the deal I'd seen and could they match it, apparently not.

I asked to be put through to cancel my subscription to which I went to retentions. They offered me what I wanted but at £55, I said no. He said he'd go speak to his supervisor and came back couple minutes later saying they could do it all for £46.90.

I accepted as that means paying just £2.50 a month for fibre, only 90p more than Talk Talk and I get saved the hassle of moving everything elsewhere. Plus I prefer Sky's TV set up so that was a bonus.

Although I'm an existing customer, it's crap you have to do things like this to get a better deal. That being said, as a new customer if you just called them and explained what you want you'd probably get a better deal.

A phone call makes all the difference. Those people on the chats don't have any pulling power.

seems like he did his best. you should try being a BT customer ...... they hang up on you, are rude, and very unprofessional and thats the UK office. if you get through to the indian office well god help you !

i would love VM but they wont provide a cable to my house which leaves me with SKY or BT and their silly prices .... decided on BT as its their lines anyway and i assumed they would have better service due to them being their own lines...... however the order was places mid january with installation on the 18th feb.

they turn up and install a phoneline that i dont want, but its a pre-requisite for broadband however no broadband install yet...... apparently they are coming on friday .... not gonna hold my breath
