Looking at interior pictures, the Golf does look a bit better. I just wonder if there is enough difference to warrant the extra cost anymore.
If you are paying on PCP the golf may still be cheaper in terms of monthly payments thanks to the better residuals (I presume). Before ordering my gtd I thought for a moment I might save a few grand and go for a Leon FR. Turns out the money-saving Leon was around £100 more a month for me!

That aside the Leon don't hold the same interest for me as the Golf. Although I did think the interior looked better in person than photos, but still not as nice as the vw.

If you can wait for lease quotes on the Leon to filter through and compare them to the best R deals, then you might find there's nowt in it as better VW residuals wipe out RRP savings on the Leon. Besides that, the Golf has 20PS more and 4WD to put that power down (ands help out in the winter). Not sure i'd want 280PS on a front wheel drive.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Yeh all true, the Golf is likely to have better residuals.

I see the Cupra as a market challenger to the Astra VXR.

Looks brilliant Mark although wouldn't surprise me with Audi if that was an optional extra. I'm looking forward to seeing pics from Geneva of the full reveal. From what I've already seen I don't think it will be a massive change from the mk2 but could still be very tempted to move back in a few years. Prefer this forum mind you

Oh yeah, this forum wins hands down!!  Yes, I can't wait to see it properly when it's revealed!  I'm sure it will be an optional extra but I'd so pay for that, looks immense!

Sorry for the OT discussion!
