Just been to the mk4 doing bit and bobs. Anyway i took my front centre console out to fit the r32 ashtray. I fitted it back pushed the cig in and it worked but the light didnt work so i diconnected the plug that goes to the lighter, i bridged the wire direct to the bulb but nothing. Turned the front lights on had ignition on and still nothing then the wires touched, my headunit went off my clock lights are dim now dont light up fully. So my question have i popped a fuse or have i done mlre damage? I gave up at the end. I been at the car for 3hrs doing bits and pieces to the engine (hoses) i gave up after finding out that i need to get under car to fit the TIP.
