abs light just came on any ideas?

ive just driven home, i turned into my road as i was braking lightly and it felt like the abs kicked in and lifted the pedal as they do and the abs light came on ive switched the engineand ignition on and off but its staying on, i did drive through a puddle but not at high speed and it didnt seem to deep. any ideas would be appreciated

right just been for a quick spin and its gone off, cool a car that fixes itself lol, i think it might of been the puddle

mine has been coming on randomly as has the asr, ive self diagnosed it as an alternator issue as ive replaced the battery after I had it tested, be aware im no mechanic but it might be something to consider!
