Another newbie GTI owner

As per subject new to vw's and my first one is a mk4 gti '99 and i love it, it's not the fastest thing ive owned but it just feels quality, it has been lowered a little and i like the standard looks of it so im not bothered about big alloys or bodykits on it but i might put some smaller ratio tyres on as i think they look a little to thick around the rims, it has a standard exhaust at the moment but i do have a cat back stainless scorpion system twin exit which does look nice but i cant stand the drone when being on a long journey, the system has the pipe without the extra box (centre box i believe) now if i got the pipe with the box would it quieten it down so not to wake up the neighbours or do you think itd still be loud "boy racerish" which i dont want ( no offence just not my thing been there done that lol)

cheers theres a few bits on the body carpark rash etc but nowt major, just undecided on the exhaust at the mo, head says no but inner child is saying why isnt it fitted already and inner child is winning at the mo

I know what you're saying bigdee I bought a car from Brighton a couple of years ago and it sounded sweet with a noisy back box on until I got on the motorway and drove it back to derbyshire and the sound done my friggin head in

lol yeah i had a rx7 with twin 4" exits it spat 4 foot flames for fun and i went to sthingyhorpe to see some family and i changed the boxes and that was when i was into the "boy racer" scene cruises etc

surely someones had some dealings with the scorpion systems that could shed a bit of light for me?
