Any ideas why my stereo won't save channels ? I've done the all usual..could it be a wiring issue ?

have you got the wires correct?
i believe if you have a universal harness you have to swap the live and switched live as there in a different possition. have a look on google. theres lots of info on it
(Take it the head unit it aftermarket?)

Live and switched live are the opposite colors on VWs, I was getting frustrated with mine until it was pointed out to me! Red to yellow and yellow to red!

If you mean mp3 burnt cds then no you cant play them on standard sh1t gamma unit. Ditch that crap and get a nice double din you can pik up decent one for 70-80

Also make sure that the grey/white cable in the standard ISO block isn't connected to anything in the stereo ISO block.
