golf v6 4motion problem
« on: 27 November 2013, 19:57 »
hi when driving my car it sounds like there is a wheel bearing noise on my car from the back you can hear it when going about 5 mph and foot of the loud pedal and when you put the power down it goes but when it goes over 60 mph it still makes this noise,I'm thinking it maybe a diff problem or propshaft anyone else had this noise

Running wide wheels/camber? This kills the diff's in no time.

But as said, Haldex needs changing every 40k but this wouldn't wine like a bearing, this would just make your 4motion slip or jumpy.

Ideally needs to be listened to on the road and on a ramp by a garage :)

the does not slip or jump what I have notice when I open the bonnet it sounds like the is a grinding noise consign from the front diff where it connects to the gearbox and the propshaft
