Insurance check if involved in an accident

If you don't already know the M.I.B have a facility for those involved in an accident to check whether the other party is insured or not.

Looks good, but I was waiting for what you do when the fkr isn't insured.. 'Steve now sh*ts himself, his pride any joy has been smashed by a non insured driver. Steve now calls the police who aren't interested. Steve now has to pay his own excess for an accident that wasn't his fault. Steve now has to wait ages to get any money back from the MIB. Steve now has a black mark against his name as the insurers didn't have anyone else to pin it on. Steve's pride and joy is now a cat D and is de-valued. Yey!

Had a bad experience on my motorbike after being hit by an uninsured driver, another biker..
