« on: 12 September 2013, 12:39 »
Hi everyone just wondering if anyone can tell me where I can buy one top mount for my golf gti mk4 on fk coilovers as the previous owner put 3 fk mount on and for some reason put a standard one on the front right.

Can anyone help ? Want price and where to get one from ?

Thanks shane

What do you mean by an FK mount? Are they stamped up as being FK or are they just polybushes?

hi guys need some help with my coilovers, don't know a lot about them as it is my first set and came already on the golf.

I have got fk coilovers all round and when I took my car to a garage to get the traction done I got told that my right coilover was lose and sits higher than the other one and he told me that the top mounts were different on both sides and that is why my steering shake a little. when I got home and took my wheel off to have a look I shook the right coilover and it had alot off play and the left one had none can anyone help me plz as I need my traction done and was told no point doing traction till coilovers are sorted and I am on my second pair off tyres for front now lol ?

I have a pair of genuine top mounts for sale if you're interested. They're only a few months old. I bought them with my new coilovers, then recently replaced them for polo ones to get a little bit lower. £15 posted if you're interested

We're your wheels straight when you took the pic? If so that mount looks shot. What do you mean when you say traction? Do you mean tracking?

Hi yeah the steering wheel was straight so you think my top mount are shot and yeah I did mean tracking mate lol.  Is this the reason why my coilover move and should I change both side if it is my top mount ?
Thanks Shane

Hi guys need some more advice put some standard top mount on my golf and car seemed fine. Then I took the car to my local garage to get my tracking done and notice the top mount have raised up again and once we both had a look the top mount and notice they have move and so had the rubber. He had told me it because every time I am driving they are pulling inwards he said about a strut brace or some fixed top mount

Yu do not want or need alloy top mounts for a road car, just a new standard pair from ebay or the dealers.
