Soo any of you that have read my downpipe rattles thread know that I needed a new dogbone mount. Well it arrived today and was replaced within half hour one of the easiest jobs to do on a mk4 by far well you would think ....... over a year ago I installed poly bushes didnt like them put the standards back in cant say ive noticed any difference but anyone notice the error when I re assembled the old one ??? 50 unofficial scott mills point on offer to the winner !

so with that resovled ive now got a good 2 inch clearance !!

My guess is the one on the left was assembled this way all along. I had the exact same clearance issues with my downpipe when I put mine back together the wrong way round.

Adz, have you got the part number for the r32 mount. I was chatting to the parts guy earlier and he have me a rough price but I didn't know the engine code.

Didn't get it mate it was about 90 quid this was 40 lol I've owned my car over 3 years and I've done 11k so I didn't see the point in all fairness. This lemforder one has massively improved the drive though and for me it is perfect !

Ahh cool is this just the one from ECP? A genuine gti one is about 45quod from vw so I might get one of those. My car has done 107k and I think it's more than a little tired.

Cheers mate.

I had the local parts guy check for me last night and he said around 45 quid. :/. I'll get around to it at some point.
