Rear Parking Sensors
« on: 10 September 2006, 13:08 »
Hi - Is there a difference between the dealer fit rear parking sensors and the factory fitted ones?

Also, is there a visual display or just audible? Thanks

I have no idea about the dealer fitted parking sensors but I've got the factory fitted ones on my R32 and there is no display ( like BMW's ) only an audible noise.  That said it is very good and probably worth it.

Hi
The dealer fit PDC sensors would be more likely cobra a0258 or a0158. There is a better kit on the market now. Cobra a0358, its a totally flash fit and looks better then any aftermarket kit, well looks better on my golf then in the box:)

Ive got my from here: http://vag-shop.co.uk, I didn't bother installing them, they did it for me.

here is the result:

I have the Halfords kit, £200 fitted, a bloke came to my house and did the job on the drive, it works perfectly and has stopped the wife reversing into things. It has a display and is audible, been on about a year now and I can't fault it
