clutch pedal problems since the clip snapped

my clutch pedal weld snapped a few weeks ago so i re welded a bit on the back and put it back on ,but since them there has been about a inch and a half play till you feel anything on the pedal so the biting point is near the floor its doing my head in can you adjust anything to get it back to normal ?

The clutch is hydraulic so the only place where it's gonna give would be at the peddle, unless it needs bleeding.
