bluefin trouble anyone? PLUS any known bluefin discounts for members?

Can't you get bluefin to adjust the map due to the carbonio being fitted
Sure I read someone else did that!

The map they send is generic to some degree designed for the standard air box

that was me that said, which they did. but after a few days it didnt feel like it had that low end punch, so i rang them and they had adjusted the map so the boost came on later (like 3500 to 4000) which i dint want. I want the boost mice an early.

So after researching on the american forum (more people using APR carbonio) i found this simple solution which loads of people said worked

I'll have to remember this then when I fit mine next year, going to add carbonio, cutback and bluefin at the same time

Superchips offer different maps for DSG or manual cars, does anyone know if that's the same (necessary?) from other tuners?

i tried revo stage 1 a year or so ago, DSG made no difference to what was installed on the ECU.  When I called this year to enquire about superchips, they said it'd be different for a DSG vs a manual.  Don't know why the different way of going about this but i'd play it safer and go with superchips and get a cheaper map that will also be more accommodating to my gearbox

Maybe different torque curves as the manual clutch is made of butter.
Revo alegidly just expect owners to drive round it and not on the lowend torque thats what ive read elsewhere anyway.

Interesting as the 2.0TSI map was originally mapped on a DSG car by Revo back in the day way back when

Superchips run lower power and torque on their dsg map, odd because dsg's from other tuners seem to cope a lot better with the power given the inferior clutches

For me the issue on the TSI is no one has really cracked a linear throttle map like you can get from K04 cars from the same stable of tuners

Just installed a bluefin in my 59 plate gti. The car instantly feels smoother and has a lot more go. It came with a free k&n panel filter but I think they have sent me a filter for the golf R (33-2888). Can anyone confirm that the correct number is 33-2865?
