Cruise Control limit

I have now done just under 2000 miles since picking up my car in October. I live in Germany and have the use of the autobahns and their endless speed limits.
I did notice today that the ACC only lets you set it up to 100mph, has anyone else found that it will go higher??

I have not bothered looking in the 400 page manual yet!!

I've never tried sorry. However, i think we ALL want to know how fast you have been in your GTI on unrestricted autobahn!

Can confirm it will only work up to 100mph

It's probably limitations of the radar tech either in detection itself being unreliable over 100mph or less confidence to have the car brake in time at speeds above 100mph.

This may sound nuts but on certain autobahns 100mph seems pretty slow! I was sat at 100 for most of my 400 mile or so trip yesterday and it felt like sitting at 70 on the M1, so much traffic whizzing past me.

So GTI7me, I did put my foot down for a few miles and got upto 135mph, it had loads more in her but the traffic got in the way.
I will try and get a vid uploaded and see if I get her up to 150!

Sounds good Spenaldo! Looking forward to seeing it  Hopefully one day i will get a chance to stretch the GTI's legs on the autobahn!
