Heated seat switches
« on: 24 October 2013, 22:21 »
My golf doesn't have heated seats installed but where the blanks should be under the centre vents a previuos owner has fitted oem heated seat switches which i do prefer to the blanks so earlier today i had the idea that i would like them to illuminate with the rest of the switches,so am i right in thinking that i can use pin 1 on the switches and connect these to the blue/gray wire on the dimmer switch? or will i need to do anything else?

That should work. Or tap into the loom powering one of the other switches; assuming your slow comes with ASR / ESP

You can fit bora vents at the same time though and tap into the loom you make for them

if you have recaros, check underneeth for plugs, quite alot of recaros came with heated seats, just dont have the looms or buttons, i know mine does, but i hate heated seats (just constantly feels like youv p*ssed yourself to me), i am however going to get looms and switcches cause it looks much better, just never turn my heated seat on :D
