you could stick a mk2 gti axle on. should pull the wheels in just enough and if they in to far then you could space them back out slightly again.

but you just need the axle itself. everything else is interchangeable.

pretty sure that according to construction an use regs that anything protruding out past the wheel arch has to have a radius or more than 10mm and the lip of your wheels wont be 10mm so are technically illegal under construction and use and if you had a really informed copper could impound your car and give it an unfit certificate which would mean you need to get it motd again

I live I police hell trafficops and police everywhere they dont evan look twice at my car round here they just dont care so until I sprt somthing I should be ok.

Change beam? Christ bit much aint it?

Your poke is not a lot you can easily roll and push your aches out. Much faster and much less hassle. Of swapping beams hubs over.

I looked into narrow beam as I wanted to tuck 4" lips but the mk3 gti is quite narrow. The mk3 rear drum break beam is wide.
I think the mk2 beam is at the most 15mm shorter.

So is it worth doing for 7.5mm? No its not and thats why I didnt bother.  Only rute I had was cut and weld my beam but instead I went for 3" lips instead.

If I roll arches can I still use plastic trim I have a arch roller at work?

Yes trim the lip and glue them on.
