No experience with the Rotary, but on VAG Hard Paint either Scholl or Menzerna will do the job.
If you get onto Detailing World Forums there are so many threads about what combo's to use etc.. But its really down to giving it a go, and finding what works for you, and for the paint on the car.
Menzerna on Chemical Guys Hex Logic Pads is my usual goto for VW Paint.
