I have personal cover from the AA. Had to use it a fair few times in the last few years on both my cars and cars I've been a passenger in.

Tbh I cannot fault the AA. Don't get me wrong I don't expect them to be able to fix much at the road side but I've had many recoveries and the guys have been very good.

Who knows maybe just luck :)

+1 for ADAC.

We've not had to call them out ourselves (touch wood!) but my parents are also with the ADAC. They have a an F reg campervan that they use to go all over Europe and they've had the ADAC out to them a few times and apparently they've always been absolutely brilliant.

It's cheap and it covers you all through Europe, and as DH says if you call them out here it's the flaming AA that actually come anyway!

They send you a lovely magazine all in German every so often as well
