One for all you meth heads!
« on: 01 August 2013, 09:56 »
I've been reading into water/methanol injection just out of interest (I don't have the money to get it at the moment).

I gather the progressive controller can work by communicating with either the MAP or MAF sensor, or by plugging into a vac source.... I was just curious as to how it works with the MAP/MAF sensors? As in will it tell the pump to kick in at a certain pressure pre TB or with a certain air flow in the MAF??

MAF based controller doesn't work with the AGU. Yeah you're right in your thinking, it just senses either the right boost via the pressure controller or higher voltage on the MAF and works out the pump duty from that

Ah right, how come MAF doesnt work with agu? so would the pressure controller be a more reliable set up then anyway as I would have thought the voltage from the MAF could be more tempremental?

Do you have a pressure switch or progressive controller wazzzer? I only ask cus I stumbled upon your car on YouTube on a rolling road and a comment said you were running rich - Is this due to the wmi?

no the running rich was down to the map not being 100%. Mine is a progressive controller but I think the on/off would be fine

Haha I will eventually, have been seriously over spending recently and rent down south is ridiculous compared to up north so it's on my winter 'to do list'  for now a cheap s2000 filter will have to tame my appetite!

Ah right, I think I'll eventually get the progressive controller before stage 2 map so it can be mapped in
