i have just fitted a 20v 1.8t engine into my golf, which used to be a 1.4. after swapping everything over, the keys needed to be coded to the ecu, so it was sent to VW dealership. the keys were coded and the engine started fine. it drove and ran like a dream. for about 10-15 mins, when it just cut out, and would not restart. ive had a diag comp connected to it and there are no fault codes. ive checked all fuses and relays, all ok. fuel pump is working, is pumping fuel to the fuel rail,
but I have tested for a spark, and there is no spark when cranking, it has had a new crank sensor. also the fuel injectors aren't opening so no fuel being injected. and finally to add to all the problem, since cutting out and trying to start it, the cylinder 2 ignition coil pack has burned out. and I mean started to melt. I am now stumped, has anyone got an idea what it can be, I was things either ECU or wiring harness, PLEASE HELP!!!!! cheers
